NSIL withdrawal policy

Exit Policy

The process and consequences for a school, team or individual student withdrawing from NSIL before or during the competition season.

Exit responsibly. This policy explains how a school, team or individual can withdraw while protecting students, schedules, kits and competition fairness.

1. Who may request an exit

  • A school-authorized representative may withdraw a registered school team.
  • A parent or legal guardian may withdraw an individually registered minor student.
  • An adult student, where legally applicable, may submit the request directly.

2. How to submit an exit request

  1. Email contact@dursikshya.com.
  2. State the participant/team name, registration number, school, league and reason for withdrawal.
  3. Confirm whether the kit has been dispatched, collected, opened or used.
  4. NSIL will confirm the effective exit date in writing.

3. Exit by participation stage

StageEffect of exit
Before kit dispatch and training activationRegistration may be closed and any eligible refund assessed under the Refund Policy.
After kit dispatch or training beginsParticipation may end, but consumed services and opened kits remain chargeable.
After project submission or round entryThe team is withdrawn from that round and may lose eligibility for certificates, ranking and prizes.
After selection for the next roundNSIL may invite the next eligible team or adjust the competition structure.

4. Team member replacement instead of exit

Schools may request a team member replacement before the published roster deadline. Replacement is subject to grade eligibility, documentation, training readiness and NSIL approval. Once judging or official round participation begins, substitutions are normally not allowed except for exceptional circumstances.

5. Kit, materials and digital access after exit

  • Any kit return is governed by the Refund Policy and requires prior approval.
  • Digital platform, mentor and training access may be closed on the effective exit date.
  • Confidential competition materials, judging documents or restricted resources must not be copied or distributed.

6. Removal by NSIL

NSIL may suspend or remove a participant or team for serious misconduct, safety violations, fraud, false information, plagiarism, harassment, deliberate property damage or repeated breach of instructions. Depending on the circumstances, fees may be non-refundable and awards or rankings may be withdrawn.

7. Certificates, rankings and prizes

  • A participant who exits before completing the required stage may not receive a completion certificate.
  • Withdrawn teams are not eligible for ranking or prizes for rounds they do not complete.
  • Participation recognition already validly earned before exit may remain, unless removal is disciplinary or based on fraud.

8. Rejoining

Rejoining in the same season is not guaranteed and depends on deadlines, available capacity, league eligibility, kit status and competition fairness. A new registration or additional payment may be required.

9. Health, safety or exceptional circumstances

NSIL will consider documented medical, family or emergency circumstances compassionately. Alternative participation, deferral or another reasonable arrangement may be offered where operationally possible, but is not guaranteed.
