NSIL payment policy
Refund Policy
Clear rules for registration payments, kit returns, training charges, cancellations and refund requests for NSIL participants.
1. What this policy covers
This policy applies to registration fees, kit charges and related NSIL participation payments made by schools, parents, guardians or individual participants.
2. When a refund may be approved
- Duplicate payment confirmed by NSIL.
- Payment collected for an ineligible grade category before kit dispatch or training access.
- NSIL cancels the participant’s programme and cannot provide a reasonable alternative.
- A material registration error reported promptly before kit dispatch and before training begins.
3. Refund schedule
| Request timing/status | Refund treatment |
|---|---|
| Within 3 calendar days of payment, before kit dispatch and before training access | Eligible for refund less payment gateway or bank charges, where applicable. |
| After 3 days but before kit dispatch and training access | Up to 80% may be refunded after deducting administrative and committed costs. |
| After kit dispatch, collection or training activation | Registration/training component is generally non-refundable. A sealed, unused kit may be considered under the return conditions below. |
| After competition participation begins | No refund, except where required by law or where NSIL cancels the programme without an alternative. |
4. Kit return conditions
- The kit must be unused, complete, undamaged and in its original sealed packaging.
- The return request must be approved before the kit is sent back.
- Return transport and insurance costs are normally paid by the participant.
- Missing, opened, programmed, assembled or damaged components may make the kit non-refundable or reduce the refundable amount.
- Verified manufacturing defects will be handled through repair, replacement or refund as appropriate.
5. Non-refundable items
- Completed or accessed training sessions and digital learning resources.
- Competition entry already used or a seat reserved after the published withdrawal deadline.
- Customized, activated, opened or participant-damaged kits.
- Travel, accommodation, food, courier and third-party costs.
- Bank, payment gateway, currency conversion and service charges already incurred.
6. How to request a refund
- Email contact@dursikshya.com.
- Include the participant name, school, registration number, payment receipt, payment date and reason.
- For kit-related requests, attach clear photographs of the sealed package or reported defect.
- NSIL will normally acknowledge the request within 5 working days.
7. Processing time and payment method
Approved refunds are normally processed within 10–15 working days after verification and, where required, successful kit return. Refunds are made to the original payment source unless another method is required and verified.
8. Cancellation or rescheduling by NSIL
Where an event or training is rescheduled, participants will normally be offered the revised schedule first. If NSIL cancels the programme and cannot offer a reasonable alternative, the unconsumed eligible amount will be refunded.
